As we navigate an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to delivering state-of-the-art autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking solutions to the military in a matter of months, not years.
Job Description
Anduril is on the lookout for an Integration and Test Technician to join our innovative Omen team at our Costa Mesa headquarters. Omen is Anduril's cutting-edge hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV), designed to offer the endurance, payload, and mission flexibility of larger aircraft within a compact, runway-independent Group 3 platform. Omen can be deployed from ship decks, beaches, or remote island clearings, ensuring unparalleled operational freedom across both defense and civilian sectors. With a mass-production contract for 50 systems, Omen represents a significant investment that not only secures production but also accelerates the evolution of future systems.
In this role, you will be integral to the development of new aircraft, focusing on propulsion systems, avionics, batteries, mechanisms, structures, sensors, and payloads within a fast-paced, high-ownership culture where your contributions will directly influence the product. Our commitment to innovation enables us to bring new designs to flight within months, not years.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Utilize 'Test' as a design tool to expedite the maturation of components, systems, and subsystems from discrete bench tests to production-representative vehicles, mission, and support systems.
- Assemble intricate electro-mechanical subsystems, high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and related components through hand soldering and integration processes.
- Develop, maintain, and operate highly representative Hardware In the Lab (HIL) and Hardware In The Loop (HITL) physical integration environments, including high-voltage, high-power hybrid powertrain testbeds.
- Integrate developmental subsystems into uncrewed surrogate platforms (Group 2 and 3 UAS) and support ongoing flight testing and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset (stop, think, do) to ensure safe operations in experimental environments, aiming to eliminate potential risks to team members.
- Assist in Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), ensuring that tests can be conducted safely and efficiently.
