Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, production, and service activities.
- Ensure that all dishes meet the quality and presentation standards set by the company and expectations of clients.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff and assistants, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Participate in menu planning and development, considering dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage stock control and ordering processes to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and various culinary initiatives.
- Keep the kitchen environment clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support the Head Chef with administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining food cost and inventory records.
- Stay informed on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to enhance menu offerings and the overall dining experience.
- Promote a positive work atmosphere through effective leadership, communication, and teamwork.
