The Land Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in the evaluation and acquisition of land for renewable energy projects. This position involves utilizing drone technology to conduct detailed surveys, creating high-accuracy Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and orthomosaics to analyze topographical features. The specialist will perform site assessments and engage with various stakeholders, including land agents and local government units (LGUs), to facilitate land acquisition processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute drone surveys, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct on-site reconnaissance and drone surveys utilizing DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise and LiDAR technology.
- Post-process survey data to produce precise orthomosaics, DEMs, Digital Terrain Models (DTMs), and point clouds for terrain analysis.
- Perform comprehensive site inspections based on criteria such as terrain stability, flood risk, soil quality, and environmental impact.
- Facilitate and participate in meetings with external stakeholders, including brokers, landowners, and government representatives.
- Request and obtain necessary technical and legal documentation from LGUs and government agencies.
- Assist the Land Acquisition Manager in:
- Identifying potential land brokers and agents through various platforms.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicating ib vogt's land acquisition standards to external parties.
- Acquiring properties and relevant documentation from stakeholders.
- Conducting thorough checks on technical and legal documents.
- Encoding and plotting technical descriptions from property documents.
- Verifying the accuracy of technical descriptions on property documents.
- Compiling technical summaries and reports for each site.
- Digitizing land plots based on georeferenced maps (cadastral, tax, vicinity maps, etc.).
- Evaluating newly offered properties and sharing findings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Generating mapping outputs such as CAD files, Shapefiles, and KMZ files.
- Collaborating with internal teams on grid availability, terrain assessments, engineering design, and other related areas.
- Preparing and presenting reports to upper management.
- Ensuring compliance with mapping requirements for permits and land-related issues.
- Quality checking survey outputs from third-party contractors when necessary.
- Coordinating with finance and administration for budgetary and administrative tasks.
- Sign and seal mapping documents as required.
