As a Project Manager at TransPerfect Translations, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. You will oversee all phases of project execution, serving as the primary point of accountability for project outcomes. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure clarity of project instructions before initiating workflows, coordinating with account managers to adjust project parameters as necessary.
- Collaborate with account managers to guide clients on best practices for achieving individual project objectives, potentially engaging directly with clients.
- Negotiate rates and timelines with freelance linguists to enhance profitability and expedite project delivery.
- Leverage Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to optimize consistency and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize appropriate reference documents and glossaries as needed to maintain quality and consistency.
- Promptly communicate any issues, delays, or additional information to the account manager while striving to resolve any challenges that arise.
- Effectively liaise with other departments integral to the project workflow (e.g., Quality Managers, Desktop Publishing teams).
- Conduct a final quality visual check and provide a quality score to the Quality Manager before task submission.
- Return completed projects to the account manager on time or ahead of schedule.
- Accurately invoice projects within 24 hours post-completion.
- Establish and nurture working relationships with freelance linguists globally.
