Join our team as a Training Coordination Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing training initiatives for Technical Operations staff and the Integrated Operations Center (IOC). Your responsibilities will encompass scheduling participants and instructors as needed, securing training venues, and executing all related coordination tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold procedures and policies to ensure that all necessary training is effectively scheduled and completed by employees.
- Create and evaluate reports to forecast immediate and future training requirements.
- Formulate and disseminate monthly training schedules for Technical Operations and the IOC, ensuring adherence to Transport Canada regulations, collective agreement stipulations, Air Transat standards, and other operational necessities.
- Communicate with stakeholders to align training schedules with expectations.
- Track and assess training certification expiration dates to guarantee employee qualifications while on duty.
- Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) as necessary.
- Ensure the completion and monitoring of training sessions and reschedule as required.
- Book all necessary training facilities.
- Collaborate with external instructors to arrange training and align training needs, when appropriate.
- Provide management and stakeholders with reports and data as requested.
- Manage and communicate departmental requirements regarding training facilities (e.g., IT issues, room cleanliness, malfunctioning equipment).
- Conduct research and suggest innovative solutions and opportunities to enhance training planning and communication processes.
- Perform additional training-related duties as assigned by the Manager, Training Administration and Control.
