Esri is looking for a Senior Business Analyst focused on HR Data to join its Human Resources team in Redlands, CA. This position works closely with HR professionals to understand business challenges, define information needs, assess data quality, and build data visualizations that inform strategic decisions. The role is based on Esri’s Redlands campus and offers the chance to make a direct impact on business objectives through analytical expertise.
What You Will Do
- Gather and analyze requirements by conducting interviews, leading workshops, running surveys, and reviewing process documentation.
- Produce key project deliverables, including requirements documentation, use cases, business process models, data models, and visual dashboards.
- Synthesize information from multiple sources, resolve conflicting requirements, and translate high-level business needs into clear, actionable tasks.
- Work with colleagues to assess information, prioritize requirements, evaluate possible solutions, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data requirements are met efficiently and reliably.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, keeping up with new features and capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst supporting HR business intelligence needs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to tailor messages for a range of audiences including peers, stakeholders, and executives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: diplomacy, negotiation, reasoning, problem-solving, and influence.
- Advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of interpreting business needs.
- Skilled facilitator, able to elicit requirements from people with different backgrounds and personalities.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and carry out tasks independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, or a related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing data-driven solutions for HR.
