Neal R. Gross and Co. is a premier provider of Court Reporting and Transcription services, headquartered in the vibrant Washington, DC area, with a national footprint. Our esteemed clientele includes local, state, and federal courts, the House of Representatives, the Department of Defense, and various private sector entities. We are currently in search of seasoned Digital Court Reporters to accurately and reliably capture the verbatim records of legal proceedings. This role offers both remote and on-site assignments tailored to client requirements, with opportunities for candidates to engage in a few cases per month or up to three per week, based on their availability.
Ideal candidates should be independent and come equipped with the necessary tools and expertise to perform their duties autonomously. **Prior experience and equipment are required.**
Location: IN-PERSON - client sites in your local area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record clear and accurate digital audio of legal proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- Administer oaths and actively participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
- Monitor audio quality in real-time, annotating records with speaker identifications and relevant notes.
- Maintain secure and organized records of proceedings, upholding legal and confidentiality standards.
- Timely upload and submit audio files and annotations via our secure systems.
- Collaborate with scheduling and production teams to ensure punctual delivery of materials.
- Exhibit professionalism while representing NRGCO in all proceedings and interactions.
- Engage with high-level clients across federal and state government as well as private industry.
