ignite-33 is hiring a Deskside Specialist to provide in-person technical support and customer service for government personnel in Washington, DC. The role centers on supporting both Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS environments, covering a variety of devices and collaboration tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Tier II IT support by resolving technical issues directly at user workstations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems. Assist users in making effective use of IT resources.
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and related peripherals.
- Perform regular system checks and updates to keep devices secure and operational.
- Support onboarding by preparing accounts and devices for new staff.
- Document service requests, solutions, and communications in a ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex technical problems to higher-level teams as needed.
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service in all interactions.
