SUMMARY
- The Field Ironworker Foreman is responsible for constructing high-quality steel structures, coordinating and managing personnel, and serving as the primary liaison with the General Contractor and other subcontractors while adhering to Basden Steel's established standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervises a steel erection crew of 5-10 personnel to ensure project completion.
- Collaborates closely with the Project Manager, representing the company with integrity to clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Educates and enforces compliance with Company policies and safety regulations.
- Plans daily work activities in advance to meet the weekly objectives established by the Project Manager.
- Monitors and assesses the performance and productivity of assigned workers, guiding them to achieve optimal output in quality and quantity.
- Completes and distributes daily and weekly reports accurately.
- Conducts weekly safety meetings, enforcing safety policies and addressing violations with the safety director for appropriate action.
- Participates in weekly jobsite subcontractor meetings, coordinating labor activities with the general contractor and other subcontractors.
- Communicates equipment issues to managers promptly.
- Leads by example and mentors crew members in their professional development.
