We are on the hunt for a talented and driven Field Sales Engineer to join our vibrant team at Lightspeed. This pivotal role involves working as a Solution Consultant, where you will significantly influence revenue generation by shaping deal strategies, designing solutions, establishing competitive positioning, and fostering customer confidence throughout the sales process. Your efforts will directly contribute to increasing win rates, deal value, and long-term account growth. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in generating new business, supporting key accounts, and ensuring effective collaboration between our sales and implementation teams. A thorough understanding of our products, coupled with exceptional technical skills and strong interpersonal abilities, is essential for success in this role.
*** This position is based in Birmingham and will involve regular travel to support our Field team across the North and Midlands. ***
Key Responsibilities:
Remote & Field Sales Support: This role necessitates frequent travel throughout the North of England and Midlands to assist Field Sales teams with on-site discovery, customer meetings, and live demonstrations, all while operating with a high level of autonomy and representing the company in client-facing situations.
Sales Execution & Deal Ownership: Collaborate with Account Executives across inbound and field sales efforts to scope, design, and validate technical solutions that meet customer needs. You will evaluate customer requirements, identify potential risks, and propose optimal solutions to facilitate successful deal progression and closure.
Revenue & Risk Enablement: Assist sales teams by identifying technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early in the sales cycle to safeguard deal value, enhance forecasting accuracy, and ensure a smooth transition to implementation teams.
Strategic Account Management: Work alongside Strategic Account Managers to promote customer retention, satisfaction, and growth by providing technical insights during renewal and expansion discussions, ultimately helping to mitigate churn in complex environments.
GTM Team Collaboration: Serve as a proactive technical contributor within Go-To-Market channels, delivering timely, high-quality product and integration advice that empowers sales teams to act swiftly and confidently.
