Role overview
The Field Service Engineer, based in Mountain View, CA, ensures the ongoing performance and reliability of one of the world’s most advanced humanoid robots. This role manages the health of the robotic platform, addresses complex system integration issues, and resolves networking or software problems that go beyond standard repairs. Serving as the technical representative for Global Support Services (GSS), the Field Service Engineer guides customers through high-pressure situations with clear communication and strong technical skills.
Main responsibilities
- Maximize solution availability: Conduct advanced root cause analysis for issues affecting fleet uptime, including networking, software, and integration faults.
- Technical liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for customer leadership, providing guidance and ensuring satisfaction during troubleshooting and resolution.
- System validation: Verify that all repairs and deployments meet Apptronik’s standards before returning robots to customer use.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Share insights and field feedback with Engineering, Product, and other internal teams.
