About the Role
As a Flight Operations Engineer, you will serve as a critical link between our R&D lab and the operational field. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the deployment of our technology, demonstrating its capabilities to global defense partners, training end-users in complex autonomous systems, and conducting thorough field validations. This position demands a unique blend of exceptional piloting skills, hands-on hardware engineering, and a high level of technical independence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement real-world test campaigns to assess the performance, reliability, and edge-case behaviors of new hardware and software iterations.
- Lead high-stakes live flight demonstrations for defense stakeholders, showcasing specialized mission capabilities in varied environments.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure clients can operate Harmattan AI systems safely and effectively, covering key areas such as flight theory, autonomous mission planning, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to support debugging and iterations based on test results.
- Manage the deployment and tactical logistics of autonomous systems, ensuring seamless integration of command-and-control (C2) infrastructure and RF data links in complex, real-world settings for total mission readiness.
