Role overview

This freelance, remote position combines quantum research with Python training. Projects vary in scope and may involve several aspects of computational physics and programming. Tasks include:

  • Designing computational physics problems based on real research processes
  • Developing problems that require Python programming to solve, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, or Sympy
  • Ensuring problems are computationally intensive and not solvable by hand within a reasonable timeframe
  • Creating scenarios in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics that require complex reasoning
  • Basing problems on real research challenges or practical physics applications
  • Validating solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries
  • Documenting problem statements clearly and providing verified solutions

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other domain libraries is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
  • Experience with numerical simulation techniques
  • Ability to design problems that reflect authentic physics research workflows
  • Creative problem-solving skills across physics domains
  • Understanding of physics modeling and approximation techniques
  • Strong English writing skills at C1 level or above
