THE POSITION
As a Genomics Lab Technician, you will be an integral member of our Genomic Lab team, responsible for the fixation, barcoding, and sequencing of biological samples. Your role will involve utilizing a variety of laboratory techniques to execute our proprietary split-pool combinatorial barcoding protocol, significantly contributing to the advancement of our clients' research initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Automation, and Manufacturing, to ensure efficient process execution and continuous improvement.
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
- Receive, inspect, and log laboratory specimens, ensuring the utmost care in handling personally identifiable information.
- Perform cell and/or nuclei fixation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Utilize techniques such as cell counting and electrophoresis to assess in-process samples.
- Prepare libraries utilizing Parse’s split-pool combinatorial barcoding methodology.
- Operate and support automated laboratory systems used for Next Generation Sequencing.
- Maintain precise batch records and complete necessary administrative tasks in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), including the routine use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for sample tracking and documentation.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and other applicable standards relevant to the role.
