About the Role
The Inventory Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position involves maintaining tidy and organized workspaces, verifying product quality, and ensuring that all documentation for each order is accurate. A keen eye for detail, safe material handling, and effective communication with the production team are essential to meet both customer expectations and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping:
- Securely package and wrap products to avoid damage during transit.
- Verify shipping paperwork accuracy using ERP systems to ensure correct quantities and parts are dispatched.
- Generate precise bills of lading and manage organized shipping documentation.
- Monitor conveyor lines, remove completed units, and load products into trailers or storage areas.
- Conduct quality inspections of products and packaging before shipment.
- Prepare pallets for delivery through stretch wrapping.
- Track key daily shipping items and communicate updates to the production team.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Manage recycling of materials in compliance with environmental regulations, maintaining a clean workspace.
Receiving:
- Process all inbound shipments, confirming counts and quality against documentation.
- Deliver materials or parts to production areas as needed.
- Carry out visual inspections of received items for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Material Handling and Inventory:
- Conduct inventory stock spot checks to ensure accuracy.
