MoneyThumb is looking for a remote Business Development Manager focused on generating new business in the fintech and financial services sector. This position combines direct business development with team leadership, aiming to drive company growth.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a group of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Set clear objectives, manage team performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Guide the team in refining outreach strategies, improving conversion rates, and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team expands.
  • Report on pipeline health, activity metrics, and team results to senior leadership.

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with decision-makers at lenders, fintech companies, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Manage the full sales process, including outreach, discovery, product demos, proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of MoneyThumb’s product and communicate its value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Pursue strategic partnerships with SaaS platforms, systems integrators, and fintech ecosystems.
  • Represent MoneyThumb at industry events, trade shows, and conferences such as Money20/20 and Finovate.
  • Share market and client feedback with the product team to help shape the product roadmap.

Collaboration Across Teams

  • Work closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure smooth client transitions and strong onboarding experiences.
  • Coordinate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts in the CRM, providing regular updates on progress.
