Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and optimize automation systems to enhance real-time mission operations and streamline launch day activities. Oversee the Nova Vehicle CONOPS from the evacuation of the launch pad through to liftoff. Create systems to monitor telemetry from the Nova launch vehicle and evaluate real-time launch commit criteria on launch day. Manage the execution of mission-specific challenges such as downrange vehicle telemetry and hardware modifications. Collaborate with teams in Kent and Moses Lake to ensure a seamless integration of vehicle testing with launch site processing and launch operations. Aggregate and synthesize engineering feedback from subject matter experts to support critical decision-making processes. Work closely with the Vehicle Controller to provide guidance on launch sequence modifications and resolve anomalies as necessary. Lead the tracking of vehicle stages during the flight phase, ensuring a smooth transition to orbital operations or recovery teams. Foster continuous improvements in launch day CONOPS to enhance operational efficiency and mission success. Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in mission operations, vehicle systems engineering, and automation for launch operations. Strong understanding of aerospace propulsion systems and software development. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
