Responsibilities:Collaborate with Editorial and subject matter experts to comprehend list methodologies and define data requirements. Assess current Forbes data assets and sources, pinpointing opportunities for reuse across lists and evaluating alignment with established methodologies. Suggest and align on suitable data sourcing methods, including internal data, surveys, applications, or external providers, based on the needs of Editorial, Accolades, and downstream stakeholders to enhance consistency and standardization across Forbes list methodologies. Analyze data quality, adequacy, and thresholds in partnership with Editorial and Accolades stakeholders to support defensible outcomes.

Role overview

The Senior Research Analyst will join the Forbes Intelligence team, the group responsible for the data powering Forbes’ signature lists and rankings. This team collaborates with internal stakeholders and external data partners to deliver timely, accurate lists that inform high net worth individuals, executives, and entrepreneurs about their standing in the market. These lists offer valuable insights across industries and regions.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape the way Forbes sources, manages, and uses data for its lists and rankings.
  • Contribute to building and refining processes, frameworks, and standards for list data operations within a newly established function.
  • Translate editorial methodologies into clear, defensible data strategies for current and future Forbes lists.
  • Identify, source, validate, and manage data for list production, ensuring data rights, quality, and reusability across Forbes platforms.
  • Work closely with Editorial, Accolades, and other internal teams to ensure efficient and scalable execution of list methodologies.
