Anduril Industries is a pioneering defense technology firm dedicated to revolutionizing military capabilities for the U.S. and its allies through cutting-edge technology. By integrating the innovative expertise, technology, and business practices of the 21st century into the defense sector, we are fundamentally transforming the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of military systems. Our family of systems operates on Lattice OS, an AI-driven operating system that synthesizes vast arrays of data into a real-time, three-dimensional command and control environment. As we face a new era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to delivering advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking solutions to military operations at unprecedented speeds.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Our Space team is focused on extending our AI-enhanced capabilities into outer space, improving Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control for the U.S. military and allied partners. We are creating fully integrated hardware and software solutions, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to counter the growing threats in the cosmic domain and ensure our Guardians maintain a strategic edge in this contested warfare environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are in search of a Signal Processing Engineer to be part of our dynamic team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing discrimination algorithms that effectively differentiate threats from non-threats, decoys, and debris using EO/IR sensor data for space and missile defense missions. You will be tasked with designing signal processing pipelines that encompass detection, feature extraction, image processing, and crafting advanced decision logic to enhance classification performance. This role demands a deep understanding of signal processing specific to EO/IR sensors, classification algorithms, detection theory, and strong algorithm development skills. If you thrive on the challenge of extracting meaningful signals from noise, enjoy developing algorithms that operate in contested and degraded conditions, and are passionate about protecting forces from emerging threats in space, then we invite you to apply.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop discrimination algorithms for EO/IR sensors that classify and discern threats from decoys, debris, and clutter in real-time operational settings.
- Design and implement signal processing pipelines incorporating detection algorithms, feature extraction, image processing, and measurement generation from sensor data.
- Create and integrate advanced decision logic to improve classification performance and adapt to evolving threat contexts.
- Analyze and optimize algorithms based on EO/IR sensor phenomenology, including noise characteristics, SNR considerations, resolution limits, and environmental factors.
