Focus Ireland is seeking a Team Leader for Youth Housing in Cork. This management role guides the Cork Youth Services team and provides direct support to a small caseload of young people. The position combines staff leadership with hands-on involvement in supporting youth at risk of homelessness.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Cork Youth Service in line with Focus Ireland's values, using a rights-based Housing First for Youth approach and prioritizing Family and Natural Supports.
- Shape the service through strategic leadership, working with stakeholders, funders, and partners to address the needs of vulnerable young people facing homelessness.
- Promote a culture focused on continuous improvement, quality service, and high professional standards.
- Mentor and manage the staff team, using clear communication and performance management to build a motivated, customer-focused environment.
- Oversee day-to-day operations: housing management, maintenance, health and safety, and case management for the service.
- Maintain compliance with Focus Ireland policies and recognized best practices in all aspects of service delivery.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary organizations, representing the service in a professional manner.
- Manage housing access for young people, including handling vacancies and allocation processes.
- Ensure all administrative, reporting, and record-keeping duties are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead people management activities such as recruitment, training, and staff development.
- Encourage strong teamwork and collaboration across youth services in the South East region.
