Role Overview
The Junior Sous Chef helps lead the kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef in planning, organizing, and managing daily operations according to Soho House standards. This role involves recruiting and training new team members, upholding allergy procedures and food preference protocols, and working with senior chefs to create new menu items.
Working closely with the Head Chef or Executive Chef, the Junior Sous Chef helps shape seasonal and appealing dishes for members and guests. A strong knowledge of health and safety practices is essential, including compliance with HACCP requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet Soho House standards.
- Contribute to menu development and new dish ideas.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
