About the Team:

The Electronic Warfare and Novel Capabilities Group (EWNC) at Systems Technology Research is dedicated to the innovation and delivery of advanced signal processing algorithms and prototype systems tailored for the next generation of radar and electronic warfare technologies.

EWNC cultivates an environment rich in creativity and collaboration, engaging with engineers across various sectors and divisions within STR, as well as researchers from academic institutions and industry partners. Together, we tackle RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges by developing practical and effective solutions. The Role:

As the Lead Algorithm & Signal Processing Engineer, you will spearhead the development of pioneering algorithms and techniques that facilitate sense-making and sensor decision-making, covering areas such as signal detection and classification, electronic support measures, attack and protection strategies, and cognitive electronic warfare.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement innovative signal processing and machine learning techniques to address complex radar and RF sensing as well as counter-sensing challenges.
  • Develop models and simulations for advanced RF systems.
  • Lead small teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Contribute to business development and aid in proposal writing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate cutting-edge capabilities into prototype systems.

Who You Are:

  • U. S. citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Possess a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Have 5-7+ years of relevant industry experience, depending on your degree (BS +7 years or MS +5 years).
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: RF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML algorithm development, algorithm test & evaluation, model & simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modeling, or RF systems prototyping.
  • Proficient in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
  • Possess strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.

Even Better:

  • Possession of an active Security Clearance is preferred.
