We invite applications from seasoned professionals for the role of Lead Commissioning Engineer to spearhead a large-scale data centre project in Dublin. This is a critical senior leadership role focused on the planning, coordination, execution, and seamless handover of all mechanical and electrical commissioning activities, including vital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning Leadership & Strategy
- Direct and manage the comprehensive MEP commissioning strategy, covering everything from initial design review to IST, client acceptance, and final project handover.
- Develop and oversee the integrated commissioning program, ensuring alignment of mechanical and electrical milestones with overall project timelines.
- Provide strategic oversight of commissioning risks, interfaces, and dependencies, proactively addressing any potential impacts on the program or technical aspects.
- Mechanical & Electrical Commissioning Oversight
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise all mechanical and electrical commissioning activities, including vendor-led works for CFCI and OFCI packages.
- Manage the commissioning of critical systems such as:
- LV/MV/HV electrical systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, and protection systems.
- Mechanical systems encompassing HVAC, chilled water, pumps, controls, fire protection, fuel oil, and process water systems.
- Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to approved procedures, design specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary commissioning liaison with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Plan, manage, and participate in FATs, SATs, FWTs, and IST activities as required.
- Lead daily, weekly, and milestone commissioning meetings, ensuring effective communication, accountability, and resolution of action items.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all commissioning operations are conducted in strict accordance with EHS, QA/QC, and AP standards.
- Work closely with Project QA/QC and AP teams to achieve mutual safety, quality, and handover objectives.
- Implement safe working systems throughout all commissioning and energization activities.
- Documentation, Reporting & Handover
- Oversee the preparation, review, approval, and closure of all mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation, including:
- Test Scripts and Method Statements.
- Compliance Statements and commissioning records.
