At Dexmate, we are pioneering the future of physical AI by developing versatile humanoid robots and the comprehensive infrastructure that supports them. Our vision is to democratize access to physical AI for developers, akin to how cloud computing revolutionized software infrastructure. As we expand our developer ecosystem, we aim to transform our product's growth into a widespread movement.
Your Role
As the Developer Relations Lead, you will be the driving force behind our community initiatives and will play a pivotal role in shaping our developer engagement strategy. This senior individual contributor role also includes the responsibility of building and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the community vision and strategy, including programs, channels, metrics, and engagement rituals to attract robotics developers, AI researchers, students, and more.
Create and disseminate technical content such as tutorials, integration guides, and architectural analyses. Contribute code and publish under your name to establish authority.
Act as the advocate for developers within the company, managing the feedback loop between community insights and the product roadmap.
Coordinate and host hackathons, workshops, developer days, and other community events.
Recruit and develop the Developer Relations team, beginning with a Developer Advocate within the first four months.
Who You Are
You possess technical expertise in robotics or related fields, including control systems, planning, simulation, edge computing, and physical AI.
You have a portfolio of tangible coding projects, such as SDK integrations, sample applications, or open-source contributions in robotics or AI.
You bring over 5 years of experience in developer relations, solutions engineering, or technical advocacy, with a proven track record of building communities.
You are an exceptional writer who understands the nuances between tutorials and reference documentation.
You have a builder’s mindset and are excited to create your own playbook.
You are based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area, physical presence is vital given the nature of our robotics work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in building communities from the ground up.
Participation in impactful open-source projects.
Background in physical AI or embodied AI.
Experience as a conference speaker.
Connections within university research networks.
