Role overview

The Level III Engineering Technician works on Infleqtion’s production team, assembling sub-components, subsystems, and full products from the commercial product line. This position involves hands-on assembly, requiring steady manual skills and a careful eye for detail. The technician uses mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering equipment daily. Safety and quality standards guide every step of the process.

Main responsibilities

  • Independently assemble complex optical, vacuum, mechanical, and electrical builds by following work instructions, drawings, solid models, schematics, and engineering judgment.
  • Manage assigned builds from kit preparation through final inspection, including testing, documentation, resolving nonconformances, and transferring to the next production phase.
  • Handle new or low-volume builds, even when documentation is incomplete, while maintaining configuration control, safety, and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop repeatable build methods, fixtures, instructions, and inspection criteria based on drawings, prototypes, and informal knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area through regular maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Act as a quality checkpoint for assigned builds, ensuring workmanship, cleanliness, documentation, and inspection results meet product and customer standards before handoff.
  • Troubleshoot issues in assembly, inspection, testing, tooling, and processes across optical, mechanical, vacuum, and electrical workflows. Identify probable root causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of process improvements.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills across multiple production processes and product areas, and quickly learn new processes as required.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior team members.
