Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional benchmark materials using Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, or other preferred digital content creation tools.
- Guarantee material compatibility and interchangeability across various project components.
- Work closely with Level Artists to develop user-friendly materials for level construction.
- Coordinate with the Lead Artist to ensure proper integration of materials with project-specific shaders, including features like tinting and height blends.
- Maintain the integrity and organization of the material library.
- Proactively research and implement the latest industry trends and techniques in material creation.
- Demonstrate flexibility by utilizing the most suitable software for different tasks, beyond just Substance Designer.
- Be ready to assist with basic prop modeling tasks in situations when material creation work is less demanding.
