Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong proficiency in Revit/BIM and energy modeling software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience in HVAC design and knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join our multi-disciplinary team, working under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Projects will encompass new constructions and renovations within educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Independently design and oversee the ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for HVAC systems on assigned projects, with complex projects supervised by a professional engineer. Assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as necessary.
- Supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline, including monitoring project progress and budgets.
- Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout, and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
- Create Revit/BIM models for HVAC system construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration phases, including layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings. As needed, perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Edit specifications for existing or new projects.
- Conduct independent research as issues arise and address emergent challenges.
- Specify mechanical equipment, including boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
- Review shop drawings for adherence to specifications and contract documents.
- Effectively interact with clients and project teams, attending Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with an emphasis on budget awareness.
- Respond to RFI's and review change orders during construction document preparation.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions.
