About the job

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is actively seeking a Platform Systems Manager to join our dedicated team supporting the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This full-time position allows for both onsite work in Bethesda, MD, and remote options.

As a part of NCBI, which is recognized among the top 400 most-visited websites globally, you will contribute to the advancement of science and public health by providing free access to essential biomedical literature and genomic data. Our talented and diverse team collaborates to develop vital services for researchers, educators, and the general public, including the well-known PubMed database.

This is a unique opportunity to tackle complex challenges as a member of NCBI's new DataOps Platform team. You will be instrumental in the development of an enterprise-wide DataOps platform, leveraging modern technologies such as Kubernetes, GitOps, and containerization to address the demands of data-intensive applications at scale.
