QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL COMPETENCIESBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldA minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineeringProficient in CAD software (any platform), with the ability to manage complex parts and assemblies and produce high-quality engineering drawingsStrong expertise in:Mechanical design for both traditional and additive manufacturing processes encompassing prototype to production stages involving metallic and composite materialsHuman factors and ergonomics to ensure the effectiveness and comfort of wearable devices in tactical scenariosConducting structural and thermal analysis to inform design decisions and trade studiesUnderstanding manufacturing processes, including molding, laminating, and machining techniquesThermal and environmental considerations affecting material performanceEligibility to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance is required

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with a dynamic team to develop an advanced augmented reality vision system that integrates cutting-edge multispectral sensors, computational elements, thermal management, and ballistic protection to empower soldiers. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in military specifications and wearable systems, engaging in prototyping and evaluation with a high level of autonomy while adhering to stringent SWAP-C requirements and ensuring user comfort and practicality in tactical situations.
