Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in RF design and antenna engineering. Proficiency in 3D electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA, or XFDTD. Strong understanding of RF principles, including impedance matching, linear and aperture antennas, Smith chart analysis, power handling metrics (IIP2, IMD), microwave network analysis, and RF filter design. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with research or thesis focus on RF technology or antennas. Experience in digital beamforming systems and their testing. Ability to analyze RF performance in operational environments and identify improvement strategies.

LEAD ANTENNA ENGINEER - STARSHIELD

Starshield harnesses the power of SpaceX’s Starlink technology to bolster national security initiatives. While Starlink caters to consumers and businesses, Starshield is tailored for governmental applications, focusing on earth observation, secure communications, and hosted payload solutions. As a Lead Antenna Engineer on the Starshield team, you will be at the forefront of advanced development programs vital to U. S. National Security. We are seeking experienced antenna engineers proficient in small antenna design, phased array systems, reflector antennas, and the validation of antenna design through testing. In this fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will tackle complex challenges while embodying the SpaceX ethos of rapid iteration, driving designs from concept to operational implementation at unprecedented speed.
