Qualifications
Essential Responsibilities:Develop innovative tools and processes to facilitate rapid and accurate software development. Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the Starship software stack. Collaborate with other teams to design, maintain, and enhance a dedicated on-premises compute pool. Identify improvement opportunities and devise creative solutions to help the software team address challenges as we advance the development of the world’s first fully reusable rocket and spacecraft. Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field; or 9+ years of relevant professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills and Experience:Proficiency with Bazel or similar build systems. Fluency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust, or Go. Experience building tools and infrastructure that support a large number of engineers. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a desire to leverage AI to enhance code quality, testing, and development workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities grounded in first principles. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
