The Project Management Officer (PMO) Lead at gorh is responsible for guiding IT projects based in Montréal, QC. This role manages budgets, timelines, and deliverable quality, with a strong focus on aligning project execution with business priorities and established management frameworks.
The PMO Lead oversees project activities and resources from the earliest planning stages through to full implementation. A key part of this position involves shaping and promoting project management best practices, drawing on both Agile and traditional methodologies to support teams and the broader organization.
Team Management
- Drive delivery efficiency by balancing speed and quality across projects.
- Set clear goals for teams and individuals that reflect IT and Belron objectives.
- Mentor team members and help resolve challenges related to delivery.
- Support engagement initiatives within the sector.
- Guide staff development, oversee onboarding, and create development plans for both new and existing team members.
IT Project Success Management
- Oversee programs by managing milestones, success criteria, resources, and delivery in line with selected methodologies.
- Lead project reviews and report on project health to management.
- Ensure thorough planning and execution of projects.
- Advise on project organization and structure.
- Develop recovery plans when projects deviate from scope, schedule, or budget.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to resolve project issues.
- Coordinate with IT teams such as Infrastructure, Architecture, and Service Delivery.
- Ensure deliverables meet business priorities and align with Belron Canada management standards.
Continuous Improvement of Project Management Practices
- Ensure processes, procedures, and policies are understood, followed, and regularly improved.
- Lead lessons learned sessions and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Define and update best practices in project management.
