Core Responsibilities Conduct research and evaluate new trading signals and strategy ideas with an emphasis on their monetization potential. Design and execute large-scale backtests to analyze PnL, risk, capacity, and strategy robustness. Assess transaction costs, market impact, and execution assumptions within backtesting frameworks. Optimize portfolio construction, capital allocation, and risk management across various strategies. Collaborate with engineers to enhance backtesting infrastructure, data quality, and research tools. Work alongside live traders to align research assumptions with real-world execution behaviors. Guide strategies from research validation to production readiness. Skills & Experience Degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar). 3+ years of experience in quantitative trading or monetization research, preferably in equities. Proficient with backtesting frameworks, large datasets, and systematic performance evaluations. Strong understanding of market microstructure, transaction costs, and scalability challenges. Excellent programming skills (Python/C++ preferred); ability to write clean, research-grade code. Meticulous attention to detail with strong statistical intuition. Experience with leading systematic or proprietary trading firms is a significant advantage.
