Lead incident investigations during your region’s daytime hours, offering timely updates and supporting senior engineers in managing responses. Address escalations from Tier 1 support using established runbooks, metrics, logs, and diagnostics to resolve issues or escalate to Tier 3 as necessary. Revise runbooks and operational documentation in light of new challenges and feedback to ensure clarity and consistency. Execute existing automations and collaborate with senior team members to enhance tools and scripts that facilitate troubleshooting and remediation. Utilize observability tools like Grafana/Prometheus, GCP Monitoring, and OpenTelemetry to analyze metrics, logs, and traces, identifying anomalies and validating system performance.

Role overview

The Reliability Operations Engineer will help maintain and improve the reliability of Serve Robotics’ robotic and cloud systems. This position centers on supporting operations and troubleshooting technical issues, with a focus on daytime hours in Sweden.

What you will do

  • Respond to Tier 2 escalations to support the reliability of both robotic and cloud-based systems.
  • Refine and optimize operational runbooks and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Investigate technical issues as they arise, focusing on timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
  • Support incident response by triaging problems and coordinating communication across teams for effective solutions.

Location

This position is based in Sweden and involves working during daytime hours in this region.
