Key Responsibilities:Calibration Program Management: Spearhead the establishment of NIST-traceable calibration capabilities for Matsu SDR systems. Develop protocols, select appropriate equipment, and either set up an in-house lab or manage external labs comprehensively. Test Infrastructure Development: Lead the design, construction, and maintenance of RF test facilities at our Northern Virginia office and future deployment locations. Manage equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to ensure operational readiness. Design-for-Test Input: Engage actively in hardware design reviews, defining testability criteria and tolerance specifications for radio systems and associated components. Automated Acceptance Testing: Create and manage Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for medium to high-volume production runs, focusing on automation where feasible and establishing clear pass/fail criteria. System Timing and Signal Chain Validation: Assess and document timing accuracy, latency, and phase coherence across the complete system, ensuring compliance with performance margins. Component and Subsystem Validation: Lead the calibration and characterization of system components, ensuring accurate traceability and documentation of results. Environmental Testing Execution: Define and manage environmental qualification processes, coordinating with hardware engineers to apply relevant standards effectively. Vendor Qualification Management: Establish incoming inspection standards for RF components, overseeing the qualification process for primary vendors and identifying potential reliability risks early in production.
