In this pivotal role, you will ensure seamless management of all shipments at our client's Roadfreight depot located in Galleymead. This position demands a high level of administrative focus, making attention to detail crucial for success.
Salary: £21,000 per year
Working Hours: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily manifest for export trailers and send out related pre-advices.
- Timely update collection and delivery statuses.
- Manage web bookings efficiently.
- Track, request, and process all Proof of Deliveries (PODs), ensuring updates in our internal system are timely.
- Compile and report daily outturn reports, cross-referencing discrepancies, creating new job references, and amending job details within a two-hour window.
- Engage in all administrative tasks within the Roadfreight department.
- Contact hauliers to obtain quotations for special collections and deliveries.
- Handle transport queries by coordinating with other depots.
- Ensure collections are clear and maintain the planning sheet.
- Generate and distribute run sheets that detail all collections and deliveries.
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Transport teams to facilitate the smooth movement of all shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries from customers, subcontractors, and drivers, ensuring timely resolution via phone and email.
- Perform data entry with meticulous attention to detail.
- Plan transport for same-day collections.
- Add accruals as necessary.
- Create movements for subcontractors.
- Plan, book, update, and manifest Irish trailers.
- Enter and update consignments accurately.
- Complete afternoon trunking out-turns.
- Maintain trailer log reporting and manage 'left in depot' reporting.
