In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented group of security engineers dedicated to enhancing our security operations and response strategies. YOUR GAME PLAN

- Lead and mentor a team of security operations engineers focused on developing, automating, and managing security response capabilities.
- Enhance incident response efficiency by creating automation tools to streamline workflow and improve operational metrics (MTTR, MTTD, alert fidelity).
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of security incidents, from readiness and response to conducting post-incident reviews to strengthen our resilience.
- Collaborate with the Detection Engineering team to advance detection capabilities, telemetry, and logging processes.
- Prepare Security for major sporting events, ensuring readiness and effective response.
- Cultivate the next generation of security engineering talent within our organization.
- Act as a player-coach, providing mentorship and technical contributions while leading your team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in leading engineering-focused teams with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Experience in operational engineering roles (SecOps, DevOps, SRE, etc.).
- Strong relationship management skills, capable of collaborating with various teams to address security challenges.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
- Confidence in navigating new security incidents effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at assessing security risks and prioritizing remediation efforts.
