fuku is hiring a Senior Children Programming Course Designer in Beijing. This position focuses on creating programming courses for children ages 6 to 16, aiming to make learning programming as engaging as possible. The role covers the full journey from Scratch to Python and C++ for young learners.
What You Will Do
- Design a curriculum that supports children’s growth from visual programming (Scratch) through Python and competitive C++.
- Develop educational materials: course outlines, lesson plans, presentations, and exercises. Update and refine content based on feedback from teachers and students.
- Train new instructors to deliver courses effectively and keep sessions engaging.
- Research domestic and international trends in educational concepts and course design to keep offerings current and competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Strong candidates with slightly less education may be considered.
- At least three years of experience designing programming courses for children or direct teaching experience with students.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Scratch, Python, or C++. Able to independently develop and explain course content.
- Understanding of child cognitive development and familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL) and STEAM principles. Able to simplify complex ideas for young learners.
- Strong writing skills for lively, engaging educational materials.
- Team player with effective communication and collaboration skills across departments.
Preferred
- Experience designing courses for K12 educational institutions or a teaching style well-received by students.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: 15,000–25,000 CNY/month, negotiable depending on experience.
