The Neutron team at Rocket Lab is dedicated to realizing our new large rocket, Neutron, and establishing its launch and test sites. From the design and testing of Neutron’s structures and components to igniting its new Archimedes engines and setting up launch pads across the United States, joining the Neutron team presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the inaugural launch of this impressive rocket.

SENIOR FLIGHT SOFTWARE ENGINEER – NEUTRON

As a Senior Flight Software Engineer at Rocket Lab’s Auckland, New Zealand location, you will play a pivotal role in developing the next-generation Command & Data Handling system for the Neutron launch vehicle. This position involves working across the entire software stack to create essential flight software, simulation frameworks, and development tools that support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, possess strong technical judgment, and exhibit a collaborative spirit, coupled with a passion for developing dependable systems that ensure successful flights.
