Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Create physics-based models that accurately represent aircraft dynamics, including aerodynamics, ground interactions, and actuator behavior. Identify, request, and evaluate flight tests necessary to enhance modeling accuracy. Conduct closed-loop testing of flight control systems integrated with simulated aircraft dynamics. Develop advanced tools for visualizing and analyzing simulation and flight data. Validate simulation models against actual flight test data to ensure fidelity. Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of experience in aerodynamics, flight dynamics simulation, and system identification. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink within Linux-based environments. Demonstrated experience in developing validated physics-based models, along with their integration and testing. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:PhD in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related field. Experience with high-fidelity physics-based aircraft or other complex simulation systems. Current pilot certifications, including instrument or commercial ratings.
