We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic Healthcare/Science & Technology Department. This role involves overseeing the planning, construction, and renovation of healthcare and life sciences facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the design and management of Acute and Ambulatory Care Health Facilities, as well as Academic and Corporate Research Facilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a successful candidate, you will be adept at responding to RFPs and leading presentations and interviews for potential projects. Your responsibilities will include developing conceptual designs, conducting peer reviews of final designs, staffing, resource planning, and creating man-hour estimates for assigned projects. Additionally, you will act as the primary liaison with clients throughout project execution.

Although our headquarters are located in Voorhees, NJ, this position also allows for remote work from our NYC office or a hybrid work model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and guide the productivity of project staff, focusing on team efficiency and alignment with project scope, detail levels, and budgets.
Design Mechanical and HVAC systems according to client specifications under the guidance of the Chief Engineer/Director.
As needed, serve as the Engineer of Record, signing and sealing project drawings.
Conduct load calculations and energy modeling using tools such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, or Carrier HAP.
Regularly review projects to ensure compliance with departmental standards and client requirements while adhering to budget constraints. Execute design reviews of engineering documents to meet QA/QC standards.
Perform engineering calculations, specifications, design layouts, and verification of mechanical and HVAC drawings to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and draftspersons while collaborating on projects.
Conduct site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide field construction support as necessary.
