Qualifications

Experience & Core Skills:Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network operations. Exceptional troubleshooting skills and effective communication (both written and verbal). Fluent in English, with a solid grasp of technical terminology. Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and remain effective under on-call conditions. Technical Skills:IP Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching technologies (STP, RSTP, VXLAN), QoS, HSRP/VRRP, and link aggregation. Infrastructure: Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HP; WAN technologies (MPLS, IPsec VPN, SD-WAN); enterprise Wi-Fi setups. Security: Proficient in managing firewalls (ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), VPNs, proxies; understanding of concepts such as segmentation, DMZ, NAC, and bastion hosts. Tools: Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG), ticketing systems (ServiceNow), configuration management (Git, Ansible).

About the job

As a Senior Network Engineer at Inetum, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our clients' network infrastructures within a collaborative shared services environment. You will be tasked with the operation and maintenance of LAN/WAN, datacenter, and security components around the clock. Your expertise will be crucial in managing complex incidents (L2/L3) and implementing necessary changes and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Monitoring: Oversee the seamless operation of LAN/WAN/WLAN, datacenter networks, and customer interconnections. Monitor network devices (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers) and effectively manage alerts through diagnosis, prioritization, resolution, or escalation.

  • Incident Management (L2/L3): Take charge of complex incident resolution, conducting advanced troubleshooting (logs, packet captures, traces), and keeping internal teams and clients informed of progress. Your contributions will help minimize recurring issues through preventive measures and root cause analysis.

  • Changes & Projects: Prepare, validate, and execute network changes (upgrades, migrations, patching). Document changes and actively participate in architecture evolution projects. You will execute high-impact interventions, often outside regular business hours.

  • On-call & Out-of-hours Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support as per the rotation schedule, promptly addressing critical incidents to ensure service continuity and adherence to SLA commitments.

  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks, facilitate knowledge sharing, and contribute to the enhancement of processes, automation, standardization, and optimization of infrastructure for improved performance, resilience, and security.
