We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Partner Development Manager to become a vital member of our Partnerships team at Lightspeed. This position is designed for a “hunter” profile, with a proven track record of making impactful contributions through outbound partnership acquisition and development. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, high energy levels, exceptional critical thinking and presentation skills, along with creative problem-solving abilities and a polished professional demeanor. A successful candidate will be an accomplished go-getter who excels in identifying, sourcing, navigating, and securing high-value agreements with channel partners. You will need to effectively manage complex operational and contractual requirements involving multiple stakeholders while demonstrating resilience, patience, and superior relationship management skills.
This position is open to remote candidates based anywhere in Canada.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify, source, and cultivate promising yet high-impact distribution relationships, those that demand patience, foresight, and influence, but have the potential to yield exponential growth. These partnerships are not merely transactional; they are strategic channel plays designed to unlock significant growth through clearly defined shared outcomes, well-aligned go-to-market strategies, effective integration, and synchronized roadmaps at the executive level. You will also be instrumental in crafting business cases and operational plans to support innovative collaborations with key stakeholders across Partnerships, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations as necessary.
Collaboration is key! You’ll closely engage with partnerships and company leadership to provide ongoing feedback and enhancements to partner acquisition, activation, and retention strategies. As partnerships are established, you will work alongside the head of partner growth to ensure a seamless transition plan for partner launch, success, and ongoing management following contract execution.
