Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., AACE, PMI-PMP) are advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, project controls, or financial management within infrastructure, construction, or energy sectors. Demonstrated experience in developing analytics solutions and driving data-driven decision-making on large, complex projects. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel proficiency. Knowledge of cost and schedule analytics tools, along with familiarity in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.

We are excited to announce multiple openings for proactive and analytical individuals to join our esteemed Controls Analytics team at AECOM. This role is pivotal as you will engage in all project phases, from determining requirements and defining project scopes to spearheading the development and delivery of effective controls analytics solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with high-profile clients on large-scale projects in a multidisciplinary environment, working alongside various construction professionals.

The Senior Project Controls Analyst will be instrumental in providing advanced analytics and data insights that support project controls functions for major infrastructure projects. This position is vital in ensuring that project risks, schedule performance, and cost forecasts align seamlessly with overarching business objectives. You will work closely with project managers, risk analysts, and commercial professionals to enhance project performance visibility and facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Controls Analytics & Reporting:

  • Create and manage dashboards and reports that deliver insights into project health across all PMO functions at both project and programme levels.
  • Monitor key project performance indicators, identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders to support effective project governance decisions.
  • Data Modelling & Analysis:
  • Develop descriptive and predictive analytics models to evaluate potential project outcomes based on current data and trends.

Risk & Performance Management:

  • Collaborate with the risk management team to integrate data-driven risk models into the controls process.
  • Quantify and incorporate risk impacts into forecasts and contingency planning for a comprehensive view of project performance, supporting QSRA and QCRA.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with project teams to comprehend requirements, explore desired outcomes, and deliver customized analytics solutions.
  • Effectively communicate complex analytics insights and recommendations in a clear manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines in all controls analytics methodologies and practices.
  • Stay informed about advancements in analytics tools, techniques, associated technologies (including project controls software), and best practices in project and programme management.
