The Tsui Group is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to manage educational facility construction projects for a major client in Los Angeles County. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct reports to the Senior Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating, including updates and reports that align with Key Performance Indicators.
  • Supervising Project Schedulers to ensure adherence to project timelines, while collaborating with Owners' Authorized Representatives (OARs), Senior Project Managers, and other site personnel and contractors concerning CPM schedule reviews, project scope, and budget preparation.
  • Assessing project staffing needs and proactively recommending adjustments to executive management to optimize staff requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive program schedules that incorporate relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints across various construction project types.
  • Independently interpreting detailed construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, etc.) to gain a thorough understanding of the work scope.
  • Evaluating Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions to ensure accurate identification of work scope and logical sequencing; delivering detailed written feedback on schedule reviews.
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on contractor schedule submissions to verify compliance with contract terms, including critical path analysis, cost loading, resource loading of man-hours, schedule content, recovery schedules, and logic relationships.
  • Executing Time Impact Analysis for change orders impacting the construction schedule and facilitating schedule negotiations with the OAR and contractor for delay time settlements.
  • Assessing drawings to determine work scope compliance and understanding contract terms for potential compensable or non-compensable time extensions.
  • Performing Critical Path and Earned Value analysis.
  • Conducting site visits as necessary to monitor contractor progress against the weekly/monthly schedule; providing reports to the project OAR and senior management.
  • Effectively communicating with contractors regarding all schedule and progress matters during weekly status meetings and other related discussions.
  • Regularly performing Program Schedule QA/QC reviews.
  • Updating Program/Master Schedules bi-monthly and preparing additional reports as directed by management.
