Key ResponsibilitiesReports to: Director of AI ResearchLocation: This position is based in our Seattle, WA office, following a hybrid work schedule. We emphasize in-person collaboration and require team members to work onsite from Tuesday to Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless an approved accommodation is in place. Our in-office culture is designed to enhance teamwork, mentorship, and collective success. Work alongside fellow scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop proof-of-concept projects shaping the future of Axon. Lead comprehensive research initiatives in advanced computer vision, machine learning, and generative AI techniques for cloud and devices, utilizing multimodal data sources, including scene understanding, action recognition, and anomaly detection.

Your Contribution

We are in search of a talented and forward-thinking Senior Research Scientist to join our AI team concentrating on computer vision and machine learning (CVML). In this role, you will be instrumental in developing AI solutions that enhance both enterprise and public safety, furthering our mission to accelerate justice, uphold truth, and save lives. You will push the boundaries of CVML and multimodal technology, applying your research to develop responsible AI capabilities for Axon’s products. Collaboration with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams will be key to training models and creating cutting-edge algorithms that facilitate intelligent understanding of visual data.
