Senior Solutions Engineer
This pivotal role will support both our commercial and US government initiatives.
Role
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will engage in designing and analyzing satellite networks tailored for global commercial and governmental applications. The focus will primarily be on pre-sales engineering for commercial endeavors, while also contributing to post-sales engineering and internal development projects. This role is centered around optimizing high-throughput satellite networks, encompassing various parameters such as:
- Satellite communications payload configuration and development
- Orbital slot selection, spectrum, and frequency planning
- Antenna system optimization and user coverage area definition
- User terminal selection
- Networking and modem equipment selection and configuration
- Gateway and remote earth station selection
- Baseband selection tailored to the client’s specific requirements
This dynamic role balances technical expertise with business and customer-facing responsibilities, offering high visibility and significant impact. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing satellite network solutions for commercial projects from inception to deal closure and beyond.
- Modeling and analyzing satellite networks utilizing proprietary software.
- Collaborating with Commercial, US Government, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and Executive teams.
- Effectively communicating our satellite network designs and reports as solutions/sales engineers.
- Assisting in regulatory efforts (FCC, ITU, etc.) related to satellite operations.
