Position Overview 

As a Senior Studies Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for successfully delivering Transmission and Distribution, Power Generation, Industrial, and Renewables projects. Reporting to the Principal Engineer and Discipline Lead, you will support a team of engineers, designers, and project managers in developing, designing, executing, and supporting Rising Edge projects through a clear strategy and proactive commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embody Rising Edge Group’s safety values and culture, promoting a safe and positive work environment while consistently representing the company professionally.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, authorities, utilities, and relevant organizations.
  • Enhance existing engineering processes and practices.
  • Generate, review, and comprehend engineering documentation (e.g., design base memorandum, detailed engineering scope, engineering and construction work plans).
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) as per the guidelines of relevant professional institutions.
  • Assist and contribute as directed by the Projects Engineering Lead, Discipline Lead, or Principal Engineer.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adherence to Rising Edge Group procedures and standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the design team during project execution and QAQC reviews.
  • Conduct detailed technical calculations, models, design studies, and technical reports to fulfill client requirements, utilizing software such as ETAP, CDEGS, XGSLab, CYMCAP, PSCAD, among others.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of internal electrical studies and QA evaluations of studies completed by subcontractors.
