We are seeking a skilled System Engineer specializing in Windows Automation to join our dynamic team. This position demands a strategic thinker with robust technical skills and a passion for mentoring junior colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in Windows Server administration, virtualization (particularly with VMware), DevOps/Scripting, and server operations. Responsibilities include managing both physical and virtual server environments, executing migrations, optimizing system performance, and facilitating cloud and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee Windows and VMware server operations, including the construction and reconstruction of physical and virtual servers.
Manage daily operations of Windows servers (2012/2016/2019) with adept troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Conduct server hardware operations such as RAID, ILO, Firmware, and vendor platforms (HP, IBM, DELL, Lenovo).
Administer VMware environments across vSphere (5.x, 6.x, 7.x) with a focus on deployment, configuration, and management.
Perform P2V, V2V, vMotion, and vCenter tasks.
Oversee VRA, HA, DRS, and manage virtual resource allocation.
Ensure adherence to security and operational standards set by the service provider.
Conduct OS patching using WSUS or similar tools, troubleshooting any patch-related issues that arise.
Utilize scripts and automation to customize OS images.
Manage Active Directory domains, users, FTP, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and associated Windows services.
Support migration projects and cloud initiatives, preferably in AWS or Azure environments.
Employ DevOps methodologies and scripting (PowerShell is essential) to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects, demonstrating strong design-level thinking.
Maintain thorough documentation, performance monitoring, and service-level reporting.
Collaborate with global teams, ensuring effective communication and high-quality service delivery.
Exhibit leadership skills and take initiative in project execution and problem resolution.
