Role Overview:
The Senior Systems Administrator at NexThreat is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our internal computer software systems and network connections. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including the planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network software and communication links. This role demands a proactive approach in organizing and directing the configuration and operation of information management systems, troubleshooting end-user software and connectivity challenges, and performing capacity and performance analysis with actionable upgrade recommendations. The focus is on automation, standardization, training, and collaboration with security and network teams to uphold a secure, scalable, and highly available IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Guarantee the stable operation of in-house software systems and network connections through comprehensive planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network software and communication links.
• Spearhead the configuration and operation of information management systems across multiple locations, coordinating IT infrastructure activities to align with business objectives.
• Analyze and troubleshoot end-user software program and connectivity issues, ensuring prompt incident response and thorough root-cause analysis.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis; recommend system configuration changes and upgrades to enhance reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Enhance administrator productivity through automation, scripting, and the establishment of standardized procedures; create and maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks.
• Provide end-user training and develop educational materials to foster effective system and application use.
• Guide technology direction in alignment with the business vision; engage in technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
• Offer both local and remote maintenance support for operational systems deployed across various locations, including general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations.
